Someone shared this image with me a few weeks back. It really puts our first world problems into perspective when you consider some people are fighting for our protection and our rights while others spend their days in tents protesting. Now I fully support our right to protest but it's really telling when you consider people put their lives on the line for "$50k a year" while others just protest, looking for handouts. I have the utmost respect for our armed forces.
I have multiple deployments to countries you "99%" would never occupy
I get shivers down my spine when I read that line. It shows how difficult the lives of our troops are. Whether you agree with the wars we are in or not no one can deny our soldiers are heros, enduring pain we can never understand. It's hard to complain about loosing a job or having bad benefits when "hero's" have it worse off financially.
